My UNESCO World Heritage Sites

What is a UNESCO World Heritage SIte?

There are currenlty 1,052 World Heritage sites dotted around the world; listed by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). They can be either a place of special cultural or physical significance; out of those listed 814 are culturnal, 203 are natural and 35 are mixed, sadly there are also 55 are sites in danger, which is 55 too many.

I have visited 45 on my travels so far and  I’m setting myself a target to visit 100 over the next 3 years, with my aim to visit more in the UK where I live. See my Bucket List for more of my travel goals. Travelling isn’t just about going to other countries, you can just as easily travel to new and exciting places in your own country.
